How I Proposed to My Bridesmaids

It’s about three months into the wedding plans and I feel very accomplished! One of the first things JJ and I discussed was our wedding party. I will share JJ’s story on another blog post (because its actually quite hilarious), but I wanted to share with you guys how I ended up “proposing” to the ladies who are now standing by my side on the big day!

  • Created my stationary - “Will you be my bridesmaid” cards

    • I used www.minted.com and I wouldn’t use any other stationary company for my wedding here on out.. they are AMAZING

    • They follow a super simple step by step system on their website

    • I chose the pre-made initial template I wanted to use and then customized the card to fit my needs

    • The best part about minted is the customer service they provide. I wrote a comment to the designer saying I needed two cards the exact same but on the front one needed to say “Will you be my Maid of Honor?'“ The designer responded immediately to explain how I could make that happen.

  • Next, I went to weddingshop.theknot.com and designed custom proposal box and champagne glasses

    • This wedding shop has EVERYTHING you would need wedding related

    • The turn around time was super fast on all custom things. It took about 4-5 days to ship and deliver to the apartment

    • Best part about this shop…. ITS AFFORDABLE

  • I also packed in a champagne colored robes for the girls to wear on the big day

    • This took me awhile to find the exact color I wanted but eventually found some on etsy.com

  • My next item in the proposal box was my ABSOLUTE favorite… CUSTOMIZED COOKIES

    • I used Midwest Cookie Co- A custom bakery in Kansas City. They specialize in Custom Sugar Cookies and Buttercream Cakes

    • Nicole (the owner) is not only SUPER TALENTED but provides excellent customer service

    • She first drew up cookie designs for me to choose from and incorporated my wedding colors

    • They offer a gluten free option

    • Nicole individually packs each cookie and for my out-of-towners she had the cookies packed and ready to ship for me.

    • See below for the most beautiful cookie designs she created for us..

Creating the custom bridesmaid boxes has easily been one of my favorite task so far. I am proud of the final product and the details incorporated. Not to mention, the girls LOVED it! Below are pictures showing what the boxes looked like when the girls opened their gifts! Enjoy!
